Black Triangle
Blog Post One.
Most people’s lives have a before and after — a moment where something unexpected happens and their world changes. For me, that moment arrived on 10 November 2024, on an ordinary Sunday afternoon in Canberra.
It didn’t arrive with drama. There were no thunderclaps or sirens. In other words, no cinematic build‑up. Just a warm breeze, a blue sky, and the smell of lawn clippings drifting across the neighbourhood. I was sitting in my backyard, ready to unwind, thinking about nothing in particular.
And then a fifty‑metre black triangle drifted silently over my house.
That sentence still feels strange to write. But it happened. And it marked the beginning of a sustained series of encounters that would change the trajectory of my life.
This post isn’t just a retelling of that moment — it’s an explanation of why it matters, what it set in motion, and why this website exists at all.
The Encounter Itself
The craft appeared at around two kilometres distance, rotating slowly, moving with a graceful precision. As it approached, the shape resolved into a massive isosceles triangle — dark gunmetal grey, rotating once every twenty seconds, maintaining altitude as if locked to an invisible track like the Sydney CBD Monorail. The event was all very neat and tidy, like a package tour or a product launch reveal. It was calm and matter of fact. Orchestrated.
It didn’t feel like something stumbling into my airspace.
When it passed overhead, the hull colour changed instantly from black to aluminium green, as if someone inside flicked a switch. This could have been a reflection of the setting sun or something else, but it’s worth mentioning.
I called my wife out, but she didn’t see it, probably because it was too far away by then and obscured by the sun. I took many photos but none of them showed anything useful.
And Canberra carried on like nothing had happened. It was like it was never there.
No jets scrambled. No helicopters. No sirens. No news alerts. Just a pizza van up the road and people waiting for their dinner.
It was surreal — not because the encounter was dramatic, but because the world didn’t react. It wasn’t dramatic.
That silence was almost louder than the craft itself. There was no reaction whatsoever. How could that be?
Why This Matters
If this had been a one‑off event — a strange sighting, an odd moment, something to file away under “weird things that happen sometimes” — I probably would’ve moved on. Life has a way of absorbing the unusual and smoothing it back into routine.
But this wasn’t a one‑off.
This was the first step in a pattern — a sequence of events that escalated, repeated, and eventually forced me to confront a truth I never expected to face.
This website exists because of what happened after this moment.
It exists because:
the encounters continued
the phenomena became structured
communication began
patterns emerged
and the experience shifted from “sighting” to “contact”
This first post marks the point where the story begins. It’s not the most dramatic event, but it’s the moment the door opened.
